This powerful performance will invigorate and move audiences. Dvorak’s Quintet in G op 77 is tailor made for the weightier sonorities of a string orchestra and this new arrangement gives full reign to the MCO strings at their richest and most lush. Complementing father Bach’s third Brandenburg Concerto is son Carl Philipp Emanuel’s Sturm und Drang-filled concerto, here to be given brilliant expression by rising star flute player Taryn Richards. Artistic Director William Hennessy continues to foster the next generation of new classical talent, with Bach & Bach promising to inspire, uplift and use music to take his audience to another place.
