ABC Young Performer of the Year Ji Won Kim teams up with chamber music specialist Chris Howlett and internationally-acclaimed, prize-winning pianist Hoang Pham. The Melbourne Piano Trio opened their debut season in New York before returning to Australia to give their first national tour. Most recently, the trio performed at the Bangalow Music Festival and at the gala opening of the Melbourne International Chamber Music Competition at Government House in Melbourne. In 2012, the Melbourne Piano Trio will be the resident group at the Sanguine Estate Music Festival and will also begin a subscription series at Melbourne Recital Centre while maintaining a close association with the Australian National Academy of Music.
