Artists Market – The Substation

Held indoors at The Substation on the first Saturday of each month between 10am and 4pm. Artworks will include textiles, print, painting, photography, jewellery, sculpture and more. The Substation is located at 1Market Street Newport. For further information phone 0415 369 874.

National Theatre Ballet

Arts at Your Doorstep in association with the National Theatre Ballet presents 'And in the Darkness Bind Them'. Join us as the National Theatre Ballet showcase their highly talented dancers at the magnificent Williamstown Town Hall for two unforgettable performances.

Last Night of the Proms                                                                                                  

11th August

Modelled on the famous Last Night of the Proms held annually in England, this event will feature popular classics followed by the "traditional series" of British patriotic pieces such as Elgar's Pomp and Circumstance March No. 1 (Land of Hope and Glory); Fantasy on British Sea Songs; Arne's Rule, Britannia! and Parry's Jerusalem. Prommers (the name given to people that attend Proms concerts) join in by dressing up, waving flags, singing along, making noise and having a great time. A very popular event, this is the 12th year that Proms has been held in Williamstown. One night only!

Hobsons Voice

12th August

Hobsons Bay City Council in association with Doug Heywood and various primary schools throughout Hobsons Bay presents Hobsons Voice. Each year choirs from primary schools in Hobsons Bay are given this unique experience to perform this celebration of the human voice. Participating choirs are offered a series of in school master classes and rehearsals with Doug Heywood OAM, culminating in a spectacular performance conducted by Doug. Held at the Williamstown Town Hall, 104 Ferguson Street, Williamstown at 2pm.

HMAS Castlemaine and Grand Historic Military Vehicles Display

HMAS Castlemaine was commissioned 17th June 1942 is now a museum and maritime heritage icon. Also on display vehicles display from WW2 period.
