Getting There

Travel by ferry from the City, get on your bike and ride, take the train or travel by car.

The Punt will take cyclists across the river from Port Melbourne (Fishermans Bend) to Spotswood, just behind Scienceworks. Commuter service operates Monday to Friday 6.30am to 9.30pm and 4pm to 7pm. Weekend service operates 10am to 5pm. www.westgatepunt.com

Get out and about and Discover Your Own Backyard today. Drop into the Visitor Information Centre located in Commonwealth Reserve, Nelson Place, Williamstown to speak with local volunteers who can assist you with ideas for things to see and do.

Newport Folk Festival

3rd to 5th July

Celebrate the spirit of music as the Newport Folk Festival returns in its seventhyear. Music includes gypsy, ukulele, choral, bush orchestra, old time string orchestras, brass, a capella, roots, percussion, and more including performances, workshops, opportunities to participate, learn or just enjoy. NAIDOC Week

5th to 12th July

NAIDOC Week takes place across Australia each July to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. The week is a great opportunity to participate in a range of activities and to support your local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community.

NAIDOC Week Community Flag Raising

6th July
